Eminem said the above quote in an interview he had after a concert. What he means is that nobody can tell you everything that is going to happen tomorrow. Nobody can look into their magic crystal ball and perfectly predict the future. He then says, "Life is a crazy ride." This statement is the absolute truth. Life can throw all sorts of things your way that you can do nothing to prepare for. For instance, if somebody in your family or somebody you are close to randomly dies, you do not get a "heads-up." There are no warnings for those type of things. You have to deal with them as they come your way. Eminem then says that nothing is guaranteed, which is also true. Just because you are brought up in a rich and nice household, you are not guaranteed to be the same way, and vise versa. The way I interpreted it is that you never know what is going to happen. You should live life to its fullest. This reminds me of another great saying,"Never let the fear of failure stop you from trying something new."

ReplyDeleteYou speak the truth Zach. We cannot count on anything in this life. When we "live our lives to the fullest", we can't go wrong. Living life without regrets seems like the best way to live. When we do everything to the best of our abilities, when we fail, we know that it is because we aren't good enough, not because we don't try hard enough. This is almost comforting to me.
