“We’re All in This Together”
“That
there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate
one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.”
To me, this quote means that everything we do affects
others. We all correspond with each other. We all have a relationship in some
way. For example, if I order a pizza I never even get to meet the person who
made it, only the person who delivered it to me. The person who made my pizza doesn’t
get to meet me either. However, that person was part of the reason I had
something to eat that day, and I was part of the reason he was going to get
paid. We helped each other without even realizing it. Everything
happens for a reason, and the cause and effect of what happens in your life is connected to everyone, not
just you. You can’t separate what
happens between people, fate is fate.
Even small and seemingly
pointless things affect the lives of others. For example, if you are running
low on cash, but you still want to help someone in some way. You decide to
donate to a child cancer charity, but you can only donate a penny. However,
what you don’t know is that the child you donated to was one single penny away
from reaching her goal and being able to pay for treatment. What you thought
was only going to help very little actually made a huge difference. You hardly
even realized you were connected to that child; you only thought of it as
donating to some charity.
