In the end of The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins says he is happy to be "only quite a little fellow in the wide world after all". He is referring to just being content and happy sitting in his hobbit-hole doing nothing. I would not be happy to be "only quite a little fellow in the wide world after all". To me, that would be a very boring life. I want to be able to enjoy life doing a lot of different and exciting things.
Bilbo sits around because he doesn't want to be different. He wants to fit in with his society. I would want to be different than everybody else. I want to have different clothes and stuff. To me sitting on the couch all day is horrible. I want to do something exciting and look back see the accomplishment I made. That is why I would not be happy to be "only quite a little fellow in the wide world after all".
