“There are no random acts. That we are all
connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can
separate a breeze from the wind.”
This quote has many meanings and is full of
depth. It explains the idea that all humans are connected. For example, in a
family system, if someone in the family experiences a traumatic event, the rest
of the family is affected. On a larger scale, the decisions the government makes
affect the whole country because of the fact “that we are all connected.” Even if couples break up, families split
apart, and countries are divided, one can never be completely disconnected from
the universe. One could think of this idea as the universe being the wind and
the human race as the breeze. Humans are connected to each other as much as
they are with the universe. In accordance to the theory that we are all connected,
it also explains that everything has a purpose. This is where the quote “everything
happens for a reason” evolved. Plans
change, things go wrong, but no act is random in life. Every living thing has a
purpose, contains motivation for that purpose, and has a reason for that
purpose. Therefore, if we are all connected and everything has a purpose there
must be a higher power that has the ability to connect the breeze to the wind.
