Every day people make decisions, whether they choose soup or salad or whether or not they marry their love. We all have choices that affect people whether we know it or not.
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." This is a quote from the amazing novel The Five People You Meet in Heaven. This quote is key, but to what, I do not know. The question is, "What does it all mean?" That is the mystery to this world. It might be something we never figure out. Now let me tell you what this quote means to me.
In my opinion, it means that no one has to feel alone. We are all connected, as said in the quote. You may pass by a person in the street who is going to save your life. You may not know it, but I think that is the special part. We have all probably been forgiven or condemned by people we do not know exist a dozen times without realizing it.
"The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone." I agree that it is a waste of time thinking we are alone. All we have to do is look around to see people we may be connected to. Humankind is the most intelligent species, but it is also the most ignorant. We do things every day that affect people, whether it be saving a life or taking one. It makes us wonder who we will meet in Heaven. "What does it all mean?" is something you will ask yourself. The answer to that is, "It means everything."
