"The Promise"

" To the fans and everybody in Gator Nation, I'm sorry. I'm extremely sorry. We were hoping for a perfect season. That was my goal, something Florida has never done here.

I promise you one thing. A lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season.

This quote is important to me and stuck with me whenever I heard it. After the Gator's loss to Ole' Miss, Tim Tebow, who is my favorite player and role model, apologized for the loss. I found this quote quite inspiring that how humble he was to come out to the press and apologize to everyone for the end to a perfect season. But what touches me most about this quote is that he did it. He pushed them all the way to the National Championship and won! I am not only inspired by Tim Tebow, but by this quote also. He is a very humble and emotional guy. This quote is becoming famous and is now all over the media. It inspires me so much I printed it out and put it on my wall in a frame! At the University of Florida, they have it on a plaque. Tim Tebow is a legend, and now this quote is becoming legendary. This is what this humble, inspiring, and emotional quote means to me.
