Quote

"I am just a man with a heart and sinful hands, I am a fallen victim."- Redemption (August Burns Red). This quote can be understood in a few different ways, but it was said in a christian way. The author of this quote is a christian heavy metal band. I believe that when the singer says "I am just a man," he means that he, like everyone else, is not perfect. We all make mistakes in our life. "With a heart and sinful hands," means that everyone is capable of loving and caring throughout their life, but at the same time, sin. We sin daily. He is saying that no matter who you are, even if you are the Pope of the world, you still commit sins, whether you know it or not. Jesus died on the cross to forgive all our sins, and that is what the rest of the song's lyrics are about. "I am a fallen victim" could mean two things. One way would be to say, like others, he has fallen for the many deeds of evil we see and act upon daily in today's world. Another way would be to assume that the singer has had an indecent past, and wishes to change for the better, and for a more christian lifestyle. This quote got to me because I believe that everyone has the right to change in their life. I thought it was very true when I listened to it during the song, and I have remembered it since then.
