Who Will YOU Serve?

“. . . choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” -Joshua (Joshua 25:15)

This is a serious quote to me as well as to anyone who is willing to receive its message. The quote says to choose who you will serve. This is pertaining to either the son of God, Jesus Christ, or the devil. In this world and on this earth in everything that you say or do, you are serving either one or the other. You cannot serve God and still act as if there is no law. “No man can serve two masters: for he will hate one and love the other or shall hold to one and despise the other . . .” You can’t do what you know is wrong just to please others, as well. This is yet another quote to help you to understand what I am saying. In the first quote Joshua is saying to his people to choose today (right now) who they will serve, but his family as well as himself will choose to serve the Lord. He is letting them know that he will not give in to any temptations that may be presented to him. If you, yourself choose to, go on ahead and do it, for it is your choice. But don’t come and try and tempt me with it. Just for the knowledge of the fact that God will forgive you, doesn’t justify wrong doing. People will often try and use groups of people to try justify things you know are wrong. Even if everybody is doing it, you have to make the choice for yourself to do the right thing. With that being said, “. . . choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” You have heard what this quote means to me. My mind is obviously made up, but is yours? Make your choice today, get on your knees and pray.

  1. This is a very good statement. In life there is always one of two choices that we have two make. We can either make the choice God would be proud of or the one that is against Him. In the world today we have a big problem with making the wrong decision. This verse is a good reminder of what we should always do....... make the the right choice and live your life for Christ!
