In "The Hobbit" by J. R. R. Tolkien the main character, Bilbo Baggins, states that he is pleased to be " only quite a little fellow in a wide world after all." I,personally, would not be happy being "only quite a little fellow in a wide world after all" because then no one would know who I am. I want to be known in this world and have many friends. To be hidden and unknown in the world will make me feel unimportant. So, if I feel unimportant I would not have much self confidence. If I were to not have any self confidence no one would even want to be my friend, because all I would do is say bad things about myself. It is nearly impossible to be known and have many friends when you hide in the background for you whole life. So, I am happy to say I would NOT want to be "only quite a little fellow in a wide world after all."
