There Are No Random Acts
The quote "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind," from The Five People You Meet in Heaven means a few things to me. The main thing I think it is saying is that everything happens for a reason. The events that happen around us do not just happen by chance. Our actions affect people around us all the time causing different things to happen. The affects we have on others don't have to be big, but can also be small. Many people without knowing it affect us each day either mentally or physically. This causes us to do or say certain things, which will in return affect others as well. For example different organizations are started because the people that founded them are affected by others to the point where they want to do something about it, such as organizations that help people in Africa . We affect each other all the time causing all these different things to happen. We are connected in so many ways that you can't separate us. Just like a breeze is just a small part of the wind, when you put a lot of breezes together you can't tell the two apart because they are basically the same. So what I do, you do, and everyone else does comes together to make and change what happens around us, making us one whole where you can't separate us. So overall this quote is saying that nothing happens randomly, but by how we affect others and how we are all connected causes things to happen for a reason.
