These words spoken by the Blue Man, as he was explaining his lesson to Eddie, I believe have set a controversy for the way of life and how to live it. People die so others can live, and everything happens for a reason. There are no random acts in life. Everything you do, positive, or negative, affects everyone around you, even those you don't know. When you think about the way you're living, and I mean really think about it, are you proud of your life? When your life is connected to billions of other lives, would it not make sense to live every day the positive way? This way you have created a positive chain reaction. You never truly know what someone else may be going through. They may be on the verge of ending everything, but it was because you smiled at that stranger, while walking down the street that they found new hope. No human life is a waste of space. You can not separate your own life from his or hers, because we are all connected, just as a breeze does not separate itself from the wind.

Positive Reactions
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."
Thursday, August 8, 2013
We are all entwined
We Are All Entwined
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate a life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."
What does this mean to me? This means that in some way everything is connected, but we might not know it until something happens, or we are told. This statement from the blue man meant a lot to Eddie and made him understand that everything affects something in one way or another. Everything that happens in life happens for a reason. We are not in control of what happens, God is. He has all of our lives figured out step by step. This quote is a great way to describe life. For example, if a soldier gets killed, his/her family will have to suffer through knowing that their loved one isn't coming home. Even though the person who killed the soldier didn't know the soldier's family, they were still greatly affected by the loss. Therefore, that shows that we are all connected. After the person who killed the soldier dies, he might meet the soldier or a member of the family in heaven. This quote also indicates that lives are of equal value, and that one life is just like another. Lives are part of lives, just like a breeze is part of the wind.
We're Connected
When it says "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind," it means that everything in life happens for a reason. It's saying that when something happens in life, it's not random. It's going to have a reason for happening. For example, when a couple breaks up, it's for a reason. It's a chance for each of them to meet someone else that is better suited for them. The person that they meet can be the one that they start a family with. If the break up never happened, then they each wouldn't have the chance to meet someone better. It's also saying that everyone in life is connected to each other whether you know them or not. For example, a hundred years ago, a man helped build a bridge that someone today may drive across everyday. These people may not know each other, but they are connected through the bridge. Another example is a professional basketball player and the inventor of basketball. If James Naismith never made the game of basketball, then there wouldn't be any gyms or basketball courts and Kobe Bryant wouldn't have the career he has today. People from the past, present, and even future can have an impact on your life. And you yourself can have an effect on someone else and you may not even know it.
We Are Connected
To me "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind," means that everything happens for a reason. If my mom and dad didn't get back together after their brake up in high school then I wouldn't have been born. I believe that God has a plan for all of his children. Every decision we make not only affects us, but also the people around us. Some people we affect, we may or may not know. Everything is a chain reaction and we are all linked together. Your future may change everyday because of other people's actions. For example, we wouldn't be able to drive if it weren't for the inventor of the automobile. Transportation wouldn't be nearly as fast and would be much more complicated. We may not personally know the inventor of the automobile, but because of his actions, we are connected to him. Another example is a farmer and a consumer. Without the farmer, the customers wouldn't be able to buy fresh produce at the grocery store. No matter what, everyone in life is connected to each other.
Response to Quote
This quote carries a lot of meaning. To me, it means every life is intertwined. Everything we do has a reaction on something or someone else. An example: Overfishing of sharks causes the population of seals to go unchecked, and skyrocket. The overpopulation of seals causes them to migrate closer to shores, with sharks following. In the end, sharks feed on people who get mixed in with the seals. This was all caused by fishermen overfishing, and it reacted in swimmers dying to sharks. One action caused some life somewhere to be changed. If you drop a piece of gum on the floor, it's likely someone will step on it. Even an action you think is too small to be recognized will have an effect on someone's life.No matter how unconnected we all seem, we are really one large organism.
Coincidence?
The quote "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected . That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind" means many things to me. The major thing it means to me is that all things happen for a reason . Things are not just a coincidence , rather they are fate . Many people do not believe in fate , but i do because it is a very valid explaination for why things happen . Another thing the quote means is people you may not know may have an impact on you or your whole entire life . You may not realize this impact but it can really be major or it can be small .We saw many examples of this in The Five People You Meet in Heaven . For example , Eddie majorly impacted the girl in the barns life when they did not even know each other . The last thing this quote means to me is that each and every individual are not very different . People may have different features or traits but at the end of the day everyone is a human being and lives life similar. My friend may have blonde hair and i have brown but we both go to school everyday and live similar ,therefore we are not very different . This quote has taught me many things about life and means so many things to me . Everyone one may have their own perspective of this quote , but this is mine .
Actions
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." This quote can teach many people a life lesson about actions. What this quote means to me is that you should never let your actions bring you down because what you did was done for a reason. Actions can change someone's life for better or for worse. For example, in the novel, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," Eddie's actions changed that little girl's life for better. Although, he killed his self, he would never take it back. Actions will not only lead someone through life, but will complete it. This quote taught me to never regret something good or bad because you will only learn from it. Everyone is connected is some way, shape, or form. Don't judge people's actions, relate to them.
Rippling Connections
As a rock
skimming across the surface of a lake eventually affects the sand on the shore,
one’s actions also touch various levels in another’s life. One’s action’s can be viewed as chain
reactions. They always impact something
else. In the book The Five People You
Meet In Heaven, when Eddie’s ball is thrown across the street, he chooses to
run after it. Because of his choice and
action, a car swerved to prevent from hitting him. The driver eventually suffered a heart attack
in response to Eddie’s initial interaction with the ball. Just as the rock grazed a fish’s fin and
caused the sediment to mix with the water, not all actions have as drastic
reactions as death. An action that may
seem as small as a smile to one person may make another person’s whole
day. That simple smile, filled with
caring and encouragement, could be all another person needs to prevent them
from being mean to someone on the bus.
Everything happens for a reason.
No action happens by mistake. Just
as the fishing boat’s motor causes the sediment and sand to be carried to the
shoreline and gradually settle on the beach, the action was meant to occur
before it was set in motion. Tala was
meant to explain to Eddie that he was destined to work at the pier to protect
children. In conclusion, all actions and
reactions are meant to be. They are not left to chance like a lottery. Once a rock has been cast at the surface of
the water, the position of the sand crystals on the beach are already determined
before the rock hits the bottom of the lake.
Purpose, and Reason
As humans, we all have different out looks on life. We are all very different in many ways. This is shown in size, shape, and race. We separate ourselves from those who aren't like us, when deep inside we are all the same. We all go through everyday struggles. We are all judged on a daily basis and we all bond through different things. It's amazing how people come together in times of need. They set aside their differences and come together for the greater good. This is how we should act. We shouldn't separate one another by what's on the outside and focus on the things that truley matter. This is expressed in a quote from the book "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". The quote is "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." This meaning that we affect each other in many ways and besides our differences, we are all the same. What this quote means to me is that although we don't know it, we alter each others lives. For example, imagine you saw somebody being bullied. If you where to stand up for that person just think how you have affected them. Maybe you gave them confindence. Maybe you gave them hope. But over all in some way, you have affected them. This quote also means to me that we are all the same and that we can no longer separate ourselves by race, size, or popularity. We should all live in such a way that we come together without
inequality and discrimination. We can no longer separate ourselves. This quote also states that everything that happens in your life, happens for a reason. Although at time we may not understand why.
inequality and discrimination. We can no longer separate ourselves. This quote also states that everything that happens in your life, happens for a reason. Although at time we may not understand why.
Never A Random Act
''That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." To me, this quote means that there are no accidents. All of our lives are intertwined in some way. I believe God has a plan for each and every person's life. Every person we meet or problem we face is no coincidence, but serves a specific purpose. Every action has a reaction, either negative or positive. Our everyday actions could have an effect on someone else's life and we may not even be aware. Eddie had a huge impact on the Blue Man's life and didn't even know it. Decisions we make will always affect others. Take drinking and driving for example, ones choice to drink and drive could impact many lives, especially if it resulted in the loss of a loved one. I believe we should carefully consider the consequences before making decisions.
No random acts
Did you know that we were all connected? That there are no random acts? That you can no more seperate one life from another then you can seperate a breeze from the wind? To me, this means that when something happens to someone it's for a reason. Everyone does for a reason. Everything tragic happens for a reason. We may not know the reason at the moment and we may not even know it in the future either, but there's always a reason. Nothing happens just randomly there's a reason for it to happen and that reason could either benefit you or benefit someone else. We are all connected is a true statement. I feel like we all are connected in some sort of way. I mean we were all made by the same person so that's got to mean something. Maybe others think differently about these statements but in my opinion, we are all connected in a way. If someone dies it may be for someone to live. You never know the reasoning for something that happens but there will always be one. Whether you like it or not.
Chain Reaction
To me, the prompt, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind," has three main points that are very important.
The first point, "That there are no random acts," means that life does not have coincidences. Nothing happens just because it can happen. There's a reason for it. To illustrate, two teachers that were going to New York City became sick and had to cancel their travel plans. It was later found out that the flight they were supposed to take was one of the planes that flew into the Twin Towers. The illness saved the teachers lives.
The next point, "That we are all connected," means that everyone has something to do with everyone else. Every decision you make affects someone else whether you realize it or not. The affects can be positive or negative, depending on the decision you make. For example, if you choose to drink and drive, your decision is putting other drivers on the road at risk.
The last point, "That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind," means that you cannot prevent the chain reaction your actions have on other people. It's impossible. There is no way to prevent it from happening. For example, if some one gets bullied, it can affect their attitude, the way they treat people , their friends, their future, their self esteem, and everything beyond that.
The Complexity Of Life
There are no random acts, everything is a
domino effect, when one person does something they effect countless others. Everything
happens for a reason; and more often than not, we would not understand the reason. Your
actions can and will affect many others and you will never know it. Unless you
perhaps make it to heaven and have a similar experience to Eddie in the book, The
Five People You Meet in Heaven. Like when Eddie was a child and he dropped
the ball in the road and went to go get it; Eddie did not know he caused the
Blue Man’s death, but later in heaven he found out. Like when a pebble is
dropped in water; it causes a big ripple at first then slowly fades away, but the
ripple stills exists. And we may never know how far it spreads.
We are all connected, one life is as
important as any other. You can no more separate a breeze from the wind than
you can successfully determine which human life serves the least purpose.
Everyone is put on the Earth for a reason; whether it is to find the cure for
cancer or adopt one child from an abusive home. Or in Eddie’s case, to save
that little girl’s life at Ruby Pier. No life goes to waste. I believe God can
see all the dominoes and understands what will cause what but we as humans
cannot fathom that complexity. So we can only make the best decisions possible
for now, with the knowledge we have, and hope are ripples and dominoes have a
positive effect.
Connected
“That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.”
This means that everything happens for a reason.
When you have a breeze, it is connected to the wind. You cannot have either a
breeze or a wind. They are synonyms. Another example is when a person flips a
coin to decide to either eat out or have leftovers; they miss out on what might
have happened by doing the other option. The results might have been different
if the coin had landed on the other side, but fate wanted you to choose that
option and made that happen. The reason of why fate wanted you to choose to eat
out or have leftovers might not be seen at that point in time, or ever, but
there is most likely a reason why. By
that coin landing on one side, another person’s entire fate could be altered. Your
choice might be somebody’s deciding factor of what they do, even if you may
have never even met them. It is all a part of how your life is supposed to be. Fate
always has an individual plan for every person that interconnects with many
other people. We are all on a path that leads to the same ending, even if the
end of the path comes sooner or later than others.
Linked Together
Everything in life happens for a specific reason. The quote, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more seperate one life from another than you can seperate a breeze from the wind," shows how events and happenings are not coincidences or random acts. Everyone’s life is already planned out and somehow we are all interconnected. God has a plan and a purpose for all of us. We should trust him and have faith. Every event and every person one meets helps to influence and mold a person’s life. They are all part of one’s true purpose. The choices you make can directly affect a person at that moment or they may affect someone years later. Our own parents have a strong influence and connection to our lives. The choices they make connect us to others either in a positive or negative way.
One cannot separate a breeze from the wind because it is part of the same. A breeze is a small wind. In life, events and choices may have a small impact or they may greatly impact and alter lives forever. The Blue Man explains this to Eddie. The Blue Man dies, so Eddie can live. Their lives are intertwined. Eddie even attends the Blue Man’s funeral never knowing he is the one who causes his ultimate death. These thoughts help to show the meaning of this quote.

Connections
People go through life everyday thinking nothing of it. Not many people think that the things they do affects anyone else. They live their own lives and whatever happens to them is it. In the story The Five People You Meet in Heaven, a character only known as "the blue man" makes a comment to the story's main character, Eddie. He says, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind." This statement means a lot to Eddie and makes him realize what he has never understood before, which is that everything someone does affects another in a certain way; everything that happens to you is planned out just perfect so that your life will fall into place.
To different people these statements said by "the blue man" can mean many different things. The beginning of this quote says, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected." To me, these two statements mean that anything you ever do is done for a reason. Every part of your life is meant to happen to you so your life turns out exactly how God planned it for you. The second half of this quote states, "That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind." This means that we are all connected in some way, shape or form. It shows how everything you do has an impact on not only your life, but the people's lives around you.
Many people do not realize how their lives are connected with someone else. Sometimes, the connections have more of an impact (someone you know may die in order for someone else to live). Other times, the affect may not be so large (someone working late one evening may miss being in an accident). The different ways in which people are connected are countless, but whenever something happens, whether good or bad, it is always for a reason.

We Are One
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." -The Blue Man
This quote is very inspirational. When I think about it, I believe that God has a plan for everyone. Everything that happenes in your life, from doing chores, to burning a pizza in the oven, all of that happens for a reason. Everything that happens to you in your life is supposed to happen. At the time you may not think it is supposed to happen, but in time you will learn from past experiences. The quote means to me that all life is connected. Nothing happens that is not already planned to happen. God knows what your future will bring. You can not change your fate. You just have to live your life not expecting what is going to happen next. If something goes wrong, which it always does because no one is perfect, you will have to know how to deal with the situation. Challenges are everywhere in life. We just have to accept the challenge and do our best to overcome it. So whatever happens in your life, happens for a reason. Do not go and try to change it beacuse God already has a plan for everybody. We just have to live, love, learn, and believe.
Every Action Counts
No act goes unnoticed. Every action impacts someone. Whether it's you or a person across the world, someone's life is being affected. Everyone's life is connected. We have to depend on one another, for food, protection, and jobs. Imagine if no one wanted to make or produce food. There would be no restaurants or grocery stores. We would be left to depend on ourselves. Some people could make it with gardens and hunting, but what about the people who couldn't. They would be forced to starve to death.
Now imagine if no one wanted to be a policeman or govern the country. Crime would be going on everywhere. The country would be attacked by another country. Everyone did what they wanted to do, not having a care in the world about who or what they're affecting. What if no one wanted to do anything? How would anything get accomplished? There would be no one to protect the city, to give you an education, no one to even cut your hair. Imagine that happening. How would you pay for anything? You wouldn't, because there would be nothing to buy because no one wanted to make it.
Every decision, every action someone makes counts and can affect our way of life.
Predestined Life
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." These three sentences are very interesting to me. They all have to do with connections in life. Most importantly, fate. Fate is a predetermined course of events. It may be generally or individually; but everyone has one. Eddie thought his life had no meaning and that he had no purpose in life. That wasn't true; and Eddie discovered that while meeting Tala. His destiny was to work at Ruby Pier so that he can save that little girl. He did do that; but for him to realize it he had to die and meet five people so it could be explained. No matter skin color or the background history, we are connected in some mysterious way. The choices you make can affect someone else tomorrow. Our future is alterable. If you don't like the path you're on, change the route.
Kindred Spirits
The quote, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind." has different meanings to me. The meaning of this quote means that everyone that you come in contact with in your life helps mold the future you will have. When the quote states, "That there are no random acts." it's stating that a greater force than human kind is controlling our paths everyday. In our everyday lives we see strangers and meet new people, in some way that person is connected to you. That person has changed your life in some way. Whether it is a negative experience or a positive experience it stills impacts your life. People from decades ago to present day have influenced our lives. Each family has a different way of impacting other family members. It could be as simple as where one family originated. It could be as complicated as rivalry between two kingdoms to gain control. Either way, all of those people has had an affect on everyone . These are some opinions about the quote, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind".

The Ripple Effect
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, one person dies, so another can live. Sometimes, we don't get exactly what we want because we have something more important and better waiting for us in the future. For example, when Eddie's ball rolled into the street and the Blue Man swerves to miss him, he ends up having a heart attack. Yes, it is sad the Blue Man lost his life, but that isn't the end of his story. If the Blue Man had not missed Eddie, he wouldn't have been there to save the girl from being crushed by Freddy's Free Fall. Also, if Nicky wouldn't have left his key in his jacket pocket, it wouldn't have fallen out into the ride, leading to Eddie's death. Everything we do has a consequence. There isn't a single thing we can do, that won't affect another person. Often, we make decisions with only ourselves in mind.We think about what works for us, what makes us happy. We become so consumed by meeting our own needs, that we forget about the world around us, and how we will affect it. When I consider this, I begin to wonder how my actions and decisions can change the course of another's life. I feel responsible for the choices that I make, and how the simplest act can cause a ripple effect that I may never know about. I am reminded that we are all connected.
Connected
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from anothate one life from another than you can seperate a breeze from the wind."
What does this mean to me? This means that everybody is connected in some way or form. The stranger you passed on the street earlier while walking to a friend's house. You are connected to them somehow. A stranger you've never even seen, talked to, or met. They have some connection to you. This prompt makes a lot of sense to me and makes me think about everybody I've ever met, even the ones I've only ever passed on the streets. We are all connected somehow. The reason that you went to the library and the book you planned on checking out was already checked out, it happened for a reason. Whether it was you finding a better book or going somewhere else and meeting your new best friend. Everything happens for a reason. "There are no random acts."
Another example that there are no random acts, say you were at a stripmall going to get something for your parents. You pass by PetCo and they are having adoptions for puppies. You decide to adopt one since a particular one had caught your eye. Two years later, there is a burglar trying to break in. Your dog scared away the burglar, saving your whole family and all of the belongings. Now, if you had never adopted the dog, who knows what could've happened.
That's what the prompt "That there are no random acts. That weare all connected. That you can no more seperate one life from another than you can seperate a breeze from the wind." means to me.
Our Stories Are All One
“That there are no random acts. That we are all connected.
That you can no more separate one life from another than you a separate a
breeze from the wind.” What does this mean to you?
“That there are no random acts.” All actions,
whether intended or unintended, simple or complex, have consequences. If you act on something it is
going to impact the life and choices of someone else as well as your own. Eddie
expresses this idea when talking to Noel at Ruby Pier. Eddie says, “Look at
that guy...I promise you, he’ll drop that cigar on the boardwalk…It falls in
the cracks, then it starts to burn…Yesterday I grabbed a kid…about to put a
cigar butt in his mouth” (page 130). In this basic story, Eddie is saying that there
are no coincidences; “there are no random acts.”
“That we are all connected. That you can no
more separate one life from another than you a separate a breeze from the wind.”
This part of the quote means that all creatures are intertwined. Although the
characters may not be aware of it they “are all connected.” An example from the
story is the link between Eddie and Ruby. Even though they never met in life,
these characters had an impact one another. Eddie’s father and later Eddie worked
and spent countless hours at Ruby Pier, which was constructed and named in
honor of Ruby. Later, Eddie’s dying father and Ruby’s husband shared a hospital
room and although Eddie’s father was unaware of his roommate, Ruby was
conscious of who her husband was sharing a room with. Ruby knew the true
details of Eddie’s father’s death.
I think that this quote ties
in with the prompt. “That each affects the other and the other affects the
next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one” (page 196).
We are not here to simply fill up space; without each of us, every place and
every person would be different. We are all affected by the actions and choices
as well as the mere existence of the others.
He Has a Plan
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind." This quote can have a different meaning to everyone because of their personal background. Growing up with such a loving family I see it as saying everything is meant to happen. Every single thing on Earth was set up by God to happen that way. Everyone that you meet is meant to play a role in your life. Without meeting just one simple person would make you a different person you are today. Also, there are no surprises to our God , just when we think that a tragedy has occurred , it just so happens that it was God's plan that we may have lost a love one. His reasons are infinite , maybe it was to make you stronger for something you may do in the future. In the end God does have a plan for you , the only thing he can not change is what you make out of each opportunity. That will determine how you feel. The quote explains how I look at my life. You should smile at everything and live with a positive attitude because he has a plan for you. A plan for Heaven.

One is All
“There are no random
acts in life. That we are all connected. That
you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze
from the wind.”If you think that something that happened to you was just a
coincidence, you’re wrong .Your actions don’t just affect you. Whether you like
it or not, it can affect many other people in a good way or a bad way. For
example, in the story, Eddie ran in front of the Blue Man’s car to chase the
ball. This caused the Blue Man’s swerve the car avoiding Eddie. The Blue Man
already had the stress of being “blue”, and then he almost hit a child. Later
on, the Blue Man died of heart attack. If Eddie hadn’t been there, the Blue Man
could’ve survived. This shows that even the tiniest thing can affect your life.
Even if someone just walked by or if you just made a friend, it can affect you or
them somehow. This also shows how everyone is connected. Not meaning
relatively, but someway, someone can change someone’s life. This shows that the
“One”, you, is connected to everyone else, which is the “All”
You Play a Role
You
Play a Role
We all have a different opinion on everything we experience.
“That there are no random acts. That we
are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another that you
can separate a breeze from a wind.” Can have various meanings, for me, it means
my decisions affect everyone around me. Decisions are what make the world go
around. It was my mother and father’s decision to have a child it was
completely up to them. They had the choice and by them agreeing to have a
child, I was born. I am beyond thankful things happened like they did, because
if they did not I would not be given the privilege to be existent. Everything I
do, every word I speak, matters. I was not put on this Earth just to fill space
or be a background character in someone else’s movie. Consider this: nothing
would be the same if I did not exist. Every place I have ever been and everyone
I have every spoken to would be different without me. We are all connected, and
we are all affected by the decisions and even the existence of those around us.
God put each and every one of us on this Earth for a reason, and your decisions
affect everyone around you. Therefore, next time I think to make a decision I must
ask myself “How will this affect everyone around me?”
We Are All Connected.
In the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven by
Mitch Albom, the author says “That there are no random acts. That we are all
connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can
separate a breeze from the wind.” This means everything we do could have an
unexpected effect on someone else.
The effect could be a bad thing. A family
comes into a restaurant. Their child wants a burger, but the restaurant is out.
The child then orders a seafood platter. It turns out, he was majorly allergic
to shellfish and he dies, just because someone ordered the last burger.
The effect could also be good, even
with something as seemingly tragic as a car crash. Two people get in a car
crash and one person breaks their leg. What they don’t know is the crash saved
them from driving over a railroad with broken mechanisms and getting crushed by
a train.
Whether it is a small thing like
ordering a burger or a big thing like crashing into them on the road, everything
we do affects someone else, for better or worse.

Chain Reaction
Whether they are simple or difficult, everyone has decisions to make in their day to day life. What you decide will affect everyone else because your actions will create a chain reaction of how people are influenced by your choices. An example, say you bully a kid to the point he kills himself. Possibly then his mother would go into a depression or their entire family would become dysfunctional.
Not every act you do will make a great impact, if any at all, on the people around you. However, a simple good morning could change someone's whole frame of mind. The reason most acts are not random is because things you do or say can change a person's entire day that would not have happened had you done something different. You cannot go a day without altering someone else's path with your actions and atmosphere. Where you might think that you have no purpose, as Eddie had felt throughout the book, you are mistaken.
You may not notice who you influence and be clueless of the fact that a person's day was modified due to you, but those people are there. Some are affected for the better, some for the worse, and where you might not want to interrupt people's lives, there is no possible way to separate yourself from the next person. Before you do something, think about how it will modify an individual's attitude. You never know who's life you will change.

Our Inalterable Destiny
Fate is defined as the will, principle, or determining cause
by which things in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to
happen as they do. "That there are no random acts. That we are all
connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can
separate a breeze from the wind." What I interpreted from this quote is
that although we may not know it, every choice we make contributes to some one's
fate. In the novel The Five People You Meet In Heaven, a simple act such
as a ball rolling into the street and Eddie going to retrieve it caused the
Blue Man his life. The things we do in our lives are not randomly put together
like pieces of a puzzle. Everything we do could affect some one's life, just
like what happened between Eddie and the Blue Man. Although we are all
different people, our life choices are intertwined with each other to create
our fate. I believe that people should take this quote into consideration
before making some of the decisions they make. Most of all, what I got out of
this quote was that we are the choices we make. But, if you knew that every
action you do had an impact as huge as Eddie had on the Blue Man's, would you
do anything differently with your life?
A Strange Mystery
Life is mysterious in many ways. Strange things happen, and we don't know why. "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you could separate a breeze from the wind." was said by The Blue Man. This quote explains life very well.
"That there are no random acts..." in this part of the quote it means everything happens for a reason. Things may be accidents, but there was no way to change what was going to happen. People blame themselves for tragic accidents, when, sometimes, they have no control of the situation. Take the accident at Ruby Pier for instance. Eddie was a maintenance worker, and did a very good job at keeping the rides safe, but when the ride stalled he had no idea it was going to happen. He did his very best to keep the people on the ride safe, and even sacrificed his own life.
"That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." is the last part of the quote is saying that every action a person makes is going to affect another. If you make a good choice or a bad choice, it affects other people. In Eddie's case, during the time he served in the war, he and some of his fellow soldiers were kidnapped by the enemy. When they finally escaped, they wanted to get revenge, so they set fire to the enemy's camp. Little did Eddie know, the tent he picked had a little girl inside. She was killed, and that was the fifth person Eddie met in heaven.
This quote has taught me many things. People can't change things from the past. It's better not to blame themselves, because it just weighs you down. Everything happens for a reason. Every choice someone makes is surely going to affect someone else. After all, life is a strange mystery.
You Can't Change Fate
The things we do and face in life all happen for a certain reason that we may not understand. The quote " That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more seperate one life from another than you can seperate a breeze from the wind", explains this very well. No one can change the cause and effect of what happens because it is connected to every single person not just you. It's just the circle of life, one person dies and another is born. In some way we are all intertwined by our actions that"s why the circle of life is never ending. One thing as simple as going to pick up a ball accidently thrown in the street can cause another person"s life to end and you would never know. Always be careful of your actions because they speak louder than words. One day our life and everything we faced will all make since to us. Just like Eddie, he found the true meaning of his life which was to keep children safe. We are all put on this Earth for a reason and we will discover why when the time comes. Everyone has a different fate or destiny that's what make us unique or different from one another. God is the only one who knows your fate. Fate is fate and that's something you cannot change.

Life Is A Mystery...
Life is simply, a mystery. You can never fully understand it until you finally meet that one person that can help you understand it. Eddie didn't find that person until after he died. When the old lady, Ruby, had told her story to Eddie he found that the Ruby's life was connected to his. The place that he had went to all his life was named after Ruby. It's amazing how Eddie had to die to figure out why so many things happened in his life. When he learned about those things he felt better about them because he knows now why it happened. For instance, when Mickey had tried to come onto Eddies mother, Eddies father could have went after him to hurt him; but he realized that he could not do that because in the end that was his friend. Also, Mickey was intoxicated an that was what could have caused him to act like that. Through it all, Eddies father still had love in his heart for his friend. Eddie saw ten that his father did have love in his heart; he just didn't know how to show it.

A Changeable Future
Even if our life now doesn't look so great, don't give up on trying to make it great. You have the ability to change your future. We all have a changeable future.
Eddie thought his life was horrible, so he gave up on trying to make it better. But in the end, he had realized if he had only made an effort to change little things in his life, it would have been a little better.
Eddie wanted so badly to find out who the little hands were he had felt when he had died; he wasn't expecting it to be the little village girl's hands. Also, Eddie had wished he had saved the little girl, but if he did he wouldn't have been alive. Thanks to the captain he was alive.
Never give up on your life. Whether its good or bad. You never know what the future holds!

Unexpected Fate
Eddie didn't know that the end of his life would be the beginning of a new journey. He thought his life was meaningless; come to find out, it was filled with many stories that he his was blind to. When he had met the Blue Man ,he didn't know that he had risked his life for him. He also did not even think anything of it when he had run out to catch that ball.
Eddie had learned many things throughout his journey in heaven. One of the things he learned was that everyday God may allow a person to die in order to keep you alive and to finish your journey on Earth. Eddie had no idea that the day he was shot during battle was to save his life. After meeting the Captain in heaven, he then realized that it was only for his good. While meeting everyone in heaven, Eddie realized that his life did in fact have a meaning to it, and that was to love his family and be the best he can be (Even though it didn't work out that way). At the end of his journey he finally found out whose hands he had felt when he died. And it was very surprising to find out that it was a little girl from a village which he had burned during the war. He was sad that he couldn't save them, but the little girl had brought to his attention that it was fine ; the kids were happy that they were in a safe place now.
Everyone has the ability to change their fate. It's about how much effort you put forth. Your fate can be good or bad. In Eddies case it was unexpected.
The Domino Effect
When an action of some sort occurs, it
affects the people around it. Those people who are immediately affected often end
up affecting others indirectly. When one pushes the first domino in a line, it
lands on the next domino that continues to strike the next one until they have
all fallen down. Even though the first domino never touches the last one, it
could not have fallen without the first one moving.
The main character in this novel, Eddie, acts
as the last domino. The event of Nick’s key falling out of his pocket, during
the roller coaster ride, set off a series of events. When the key slowly grinds
away at the wire holding the ride in place, the result is the wire being cut. While
Eddie found out what is wrong with the ride, it soon collapsed, causing his
death. When he dies, it set off another new chain of events.
The
quote from the novel The Five People You Meet in Heaven reads, “That
there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more
separate one life from another than you can a breeze from the wind.” I believe
that every action is important and that everyone and everything is affected by
it one way or another. Such as during the Boston Bombing, when many of us were
not actually there, we felt connected to the bombing, and became affected by
it. Once someone was changed by it, it would change their life forever, and set
off a new chain of events.
Everything Serves a Purpose
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." These words were spoken to Eddie by the Blue Man to teach Eddie that everything, every act, every person has a purpose.
"That there are no random acts. . ." To me this means that there is a resaon every act is committed and that every action has a reaction that will lead you to your fate. Life is not a game of chance. In the book this is expressed when the captain made the decision to run ahead of his escaping group. As a result of his actions, the captain ended up stepping on a land mine, clearing the path and saving the groupo from certain disaster.
". . . That we are all connected. . ." I believe that this means we are all bound by something greater than us all. This bind gives us the urge to do good things for each other. To help one another. During the ending moments of Eddie's life, he felt this urge. When the key lodged inside of Freddy's Free Fall, it slowly started cutting at the cable. As the cable broke, Eddie noticed the little girl standing helplessly under the falling cart. He then felt the necessity to jump out and save her. To help her. To risk his life to save her's because he felt the connection.
". . . That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." In my mind this means that all people are the same, no matter their social class or economic status. No person is greater than another. Not all people feel this way, however. For the Blue Man, because of his tinted skin, he was considered a freak. He was abnormal to others. Some might even say he was strange. Though he was the same as everyone else, people saw themselves as better than he was. The Blue Man was exactly like them, it was a medical side effect that was beyond his control that caused him to be this way.
To sum this up, everyone is connected in life as part of a giant complex plan. To where if a person crosses paths with someone, they will play a significant role in their life. Whether it be good or bad. That every choice a person makes can impact a complete stranger tremendously. In simplest terms, what you do can change a person's life, because like in a pulley system, everything is connected.

One Small Act In Life
"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." There's not one thing in this world that does not have a cause-and-effect scenario. When Eddie first got in Heaven, he met the Blue Man, the first of his five people. The Blue Man gave him his first lesson, that there are no random acts in life, everything that happens has a reason for it to happen. This proves as a huge meaning to the everyday life, that just one small act can make a difference in the biggest of circumstances. Even the smallest of acts, as in not high fiving your friend back, or even like Eddie and kicking a ball in the street, can change a whole other life forever, whether you know it or don't.
I think that what Mitch Albom, the author of this novel, was trying to explain to us about "The Five People You Meet in Heaven," doesn't necessarily have to be in Heaven. It can be taken place anywhere in the mortal, religious, or scientific world as it wants to, because it's about learning from your life when you lived. That it can take a whole life time to learn just one small thing. Referring back to how the Blue Man died whenever Eddie was only a little boy, and Eddie not knowing at all, because it can take a whole lifetime to learn about what was done, and that just one small act, can change it all.
