Our Inalterable Destiny

Fate is defined as the will, principle, or determining cause by which things in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to happen as they do. "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." What I interpreted from this quote is that although we may not know it, every choice we make contributes to some one's fate. In the novel The Five People You Meet In Heaven, a simple act such as a ball rolling into the street and Eddie going to retrieve it caused the Blue Man his life. The things we do in our lives are not randomly put together like pieces of a puzzle. Everything we do could affect some one's life, just like what happened between Eddie and the Blue Man. Although we are all different people, our life choices are intertwined with each other to create our fate. I believe that people should take this quote into consideration before making some of the decisions they make. Most of all, what I got out of this quote was that we are the choices we make. But, if you knew that every action you do had an impact as huge as Eddie had on the Blue Man's, would you do anything differently with your life?
