We're Connected
When it says "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind," it means that everything in life happens for a reason. It's saying that when something happens in life, it's not random. It's going to have a reason for happening. For example, when a couple breaks up, it's for a reason. It's a chance for each of them to meet someone else that is better suited for them. The person that they meet can be the one that they start a family with. If the break up never happened, then they each wouldn't have the chance to meet someone better. It's also saying that everyone in life is connected to each other whether you know them or not. For example, a hundred years ago, a man helped build a bridge that someone today may drive across everyday. These people may not know each other, but they are connected through the bridge. Another example is a professional basketball player and the inventor of basketball. If James Naismith never made the game of basketball, then there wouldn't be any gyms or basketball courts and Kobe Bryant wouldn't have the career he has today. People from the past, present, and even future can have an impact on your life. And you yourself can have an effect on someone else and you may not even know it.
