The World Revolves Around Love

One of the most known questions to man is "What is love?" Many people have tried to define it but let's face it. Love is an emotion that can not be expressed with words. Love comes in different ways and forms. Although, there are people attempting to tell us, who we can and can't love.
Love in families is a special kind of love. You grow up with those people that are your family. Growing up, I was always surrounded by love. Love is a very important thing in my family, that is something we always relied on. My family is very culturally divided, I have family from Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines. Just because they are not from America like most of my family, that does not mean we do not love them. We love them the same, even if they are not related to us by blood. All of my family taught me to love everybody, even if they are not the same as I am.
Love is something to be treasured and shared, no matter who it is between. Love can be between anybody, yet there are people telling us that we can only love certain people, male if we are female, and female if we are male. Nobody has the right to tell us that. Love is different for everybody, does it really matter if it is a male and male? Or a female and another female? Just because of our gender, we are not aloud to love the same sex.
A friend's love is more than anyone can ask for. When you have a friend that loves you, you feel on top of the world. You know that they'll be there for you through thick and then. They will be just like a brother or sister, sure but that is how you know that they are your best friend. You can tell them anything and everything. True friends are not just here for your good times, but your bad times as well. I feel sorry for the people in the world who have never experienced the love from a true friend.
My grandmother met her husband online through a friend, he is from Australia, they have been together for over ten years. I can see the look of love through both of their eyes today. I asked them what love was and they responded, "Love is when you look somebody in the eyes and see everything you need," They are so deep in love and they are the ones who inspire me the most. I want a love like that when I become an adult and it is my turn to fall in love. Knowing that their love will last gives me hope. They truly are an inspiration to me.
Love comes in many different forms and ways, whether it is falling in love with somebody across the world, or the same gender of you. Knowing that you have friends and family that will always be there for you is more than anyone could ever ask for. Love a sacred and rare thing that shouldn't be taken lightly. Some say the world revolves around money, but I say it revolves around love.
