To Love or Not To Love

Love is a pretty complex word. It’s hard to describe. The word love is so much more than three consonants and a vowel. It can be shown and expressed in so many ways today it’s almost hard to keep up with.

In today’s modern world we find ourselves using the word love more often or even less often. Some of us can’t exactly grasp love, because we’ve never felt it before. What I’m getting at by saying this is that we all love differently whether we believe it or not. Some love with their eyes, others with their heart. This is similar to when Friar Lawrence tells Romeo that, “Young men’s love then lies. Not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes.”  Meaning that men love someone because of their looks and not because of whom they are. This is a way of love that hopefully not many people go by.

In my own words, I would describe love as the feelings you have for someone that you truly care for. These people being my family, friends, and even that special someone. I express this love in my day to day life as most people do. By telling my family members I love them every day. My reasoning for doing this is because you never know which moment may be your last. Love in my life gives me so many comforting feelings. It lets me know that someone cares for me and is always there for me. I also feel safe and secure. I hope that everyone experiences these great feelings and gets their shot at love.
