Love With Actions, Not With Words

What exactly is love? Love is having a deep passion for someone or something. You can have love for anything like a sport, a favorite food, or someone special. God said, “Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” -1 John 3:18. In our society, we use the word love conveniently. Everyone seems to use this four letter word as a common word, and has forgotten what love really is. Love is not having a boyfriend or girlfriend, and after two days of dating, you tell them that you love them. I do not believe in love at first sight, because love is more than just looks. In order to love someone, you have to know them as a person. The love that I have experienced is the love from my family. My family has showed their love for me by providing for me, supporting me, and encouraging me to do my best. Most importantly, they are there for me when life does not work out as planned. Love is special, and you should never take it for granted.
