What Does Love Really Mean?

The Webster's dictionary definition of love is, "A deep and tender feeling of affection to a person." However, I do not believe there is a true meaning of love. Everybody has different views and opinions on love. Love could be a relationship between a man and a woman, a relationship with friends and family, or with God. In today's society, love is greatly overused. People say, "I love money!" or "I love this car!" Money, cars, and other material things cannot love you back. To me, love comes from trust. If you love someone, wether it is a spouse, a friend, or a family member, you must be able to trust them, and they trust you back. The Bible mentions love and trust in 1 Corinthians 13:6-7, "Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres." I believe this passage paints a perfect picture on what true love means to me.
