Growing in Love

Many words describe the word love. Love is an emotional and physical connection between two people who are affectionate, devoted, forgiving, and respectful towards one another. Love is patient, kind, unselfish, and giving. Love can be so strong and powerful that it leads two people to marriage. However, love between family members, friends, and children is different. Parents show love to their children by meeting their physical needs and nurturing them when they are young. This type of love helps to develop strong emotional bonds that can last a lifetime. Friends show love by displaying honesty, accepting each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and having fun together. Parents show love to one another by supporting the family, spending quality time together, and giving special gifts and services. My feelings of love mean an unexplainable feeling that you have towards another person. This feeling of love can become so emotional and intense that it becomes more of an obsession. Many people my age may think they are in love, but in reality they are just infatuated with the person and the idea of love. Love affects my life in many ways. God's love helps to guide me in my decision making. Love also gives my life a purpose, a sense of security, comfort, and much more. Love is an awesome thing, and I think everyone should experience it one day, whether it is love for family, friends, children, or that special someone. Love is extremely complex and means many things, but it is one thing that helps me to grow and succeed in becoming the person I am meant to be.
