I Want to Know
What Love Is
Love is described in
many different ways. A person’s opinion on love is developed from their own
experiences of love or by seeing it. My opinion of love has developed from
seeing my parents. They have a strong bond, and accept each other’s flaws. They
may argue sometimes, but they always make up. Even after nineteen years of
marriage, my parents love each other just as much as they did when they first
met.
Love has affected my life in different ways. My parent’s love has let me see what real love is and has let me know what I’m looking for in a relationship. Other relationships have shown me what I do not want. Someone I know has parents that are divorced. I was able to see what they acted like before their divorce and I could tell there was a difference between their relationship and my parent's. They didn't have any emotion towards each other, like they were bored of each other. If you’re going to say you love someone, you've got keep that love forever.
Love can be shown in the smallest ways. Picking up you’re loved one’s favorite food for dinner on your way home, taking care of them when they’re sick, and dealing with them when they’re in a bad mood. Show them that no matter what, you’ll love them. Love is a feeling reserved for special people. Show those people that you do love them, with all your heart.
I really enjoyed reading this. It put a different perspective on love for me. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYour post was great! I especially liked when you included, "Picking up you're loved one's favorite food for dinner..." However, it should be "your" not "you're".

ReplyDeleteI, too, have seen other's parents before they got divorced and I saw exactly what you saw.I absolutely agree that you can almost tell the difference between people who are still in love and those who are no longer in love.
DeleteDang it Emilee! Making me cry.
DeleteI really enjoyed this blog. I'm also in love with your title!
ReplyDeleteI loved this post Emilee! You made me appreciate how my parents' relationship is similar to your parents'. I have friends whose parents have divorced or worse yet, fight constantly. I feel lucky that i haven't had to deal with a situation like theirs.
