Love Is Only As Good As You Make It Out To Be

In the dictionary love is defined as a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. However, love is difficult to truly define because it refers to a wide range of different feelings, states, and attitudes. Some say that love is both the worst and best experience in life. To me love is a compassionate and affectionate action toward other humans, one's self or animals. Love can be felt for a partner, parents, children, family, and friends; there are no limits on who or what you can or can't love.
It may be easier to say what love isn't than what it is.  Love isn't manipulation, compromising who you are, violence, or just lust. Love cannot be bought, sold, or traded. You cannot force someone to love you, nor can you prevent it, at any cost.
I believe love does affect your attitude and outlook on things. If you have no one around you giving you love and affection then your attitude would be significantly different than someone’s who is loved by a large group of people. But just like anything, it’s only as good as you make it out to be.
