“Love is patient. Love is kind. Love never ends.” This verse from First Corinthians is, to me, one of the most profound statements in the Bible. I believe that the love that we show to other people gets passed on and never ends. It is no coincidence that a wedding ring is in the shape of a circle. A wedding ring is symbol not only of commitment, but the never-ending cycle of love. Love begins with the innocence of babies and children. Experiencing the love of new life when my little brothers were born has inspired me to pursue a medical career with babies. Love blossoms with age, and can be found as people grow into adults and parents. Over the course of my life, my parents have been a living example of what real love is, both to each other and to me. The trademark image of successful, long-lasting love is an old couple, still together and happily in love. Even when people leave the earth, the way they lived and loved still remains. Love is not only an emotion, but it is a connection with others that inspires and never ends.
That was amazing Emily! Your post is one of my favorites because it really opens your eyes to all the little blessings in life and how God can show his love through anything!!:)
ReplyDeleteWOW Emily that was really good! I totally agree with you. It is neat to think about that the love you shared with others during your life still remains with them even after you die.
