Today's Modern Love
Love in today's modern world is so wrong from what love really should be. I believe love should be real compassion you have for a person. Whether the person you say you love is your friend, family member, or a special someone there should be some kind of compassion. Today people say they "love" someone, but they don't really mean it. They base their"love" on looks, rather than on the connection. I also believe you need time to get to know a person before you can say you really love them. When I say "time" I don't mean just days or months, I mean years. I have only experienced one kind of love, though; the love of my friends and family. To me, this love is just as important as love of a boyfriend and girlfriend. So, although I have never experienced true love I know when I do know it will be the right person. It has to be a person that makes me feel truly happy. That is what I think love is.

That was great Amber! I agree with what you said about people misusing the word love. It means so much more than what our society portrays it as. I also agree with the fact that we need time to get to know someone before you say you love them.
