Everybody has something that makes them feel peace and safe, like nothing can ever hurt them. For Wang Lung that is his land. But for me it would have to be my family and my grandfather’s blanket. With my family, I know they will always be here for me no matter what. I feel like I can go to them for anything no matter what time it is. I know they will do anything for me. My family will love me no matter what I do and will always support me in my decisions. I don’t know what I would do without my family to help me through life. With that blanket, I feel like he is here with me. It gives that feeling of his big hugs he would always give me. Whenever I am feeling down or missing him I just go and wrap up in that blanket. It makes me feel like I will never be hurt by anyone or anything because I have my grandpa watching over me. My family and my grandfather’s blanket mean the world to me.
