Value of God

There is something that we all hold close to our heart. It could be a necklace, a picture, or even a stuffed animal. The thing that holds the most value to be is my walk with God. He gives me peace when I am struggling. God gave me life and everyday I am thankful to be in his presence. To me comfort can only be found in God. Never has he left my side. They have an old poem called, "footprints in the sand." In that poem it talks about how there are always two set of footprints in the sand, and the times where there is only one that is when God is carrying us. He is the closest friend I have. Knowing that he is always watching over us creeps some people out, as for me it gives me s sense of comfort. Through thick and thin he has been by my side and carried me through. Before God was in my heart I wanted material things, but after he gave me a new life I no longer lusted after the things I did not need. Only because I had everything I needed in my heart. That was the grace of God. I am proud to say I am a Christian and that God is the most valuable thing in my life.
