My Rock and My Refuge

In The Good Earth, Wang Lung's most prized possesion that he can depend on is his land. He is like most people, in the fact, that they would choose something or someone that they can physically see or touch. I am different because the only person that I know that I can always count on is God. No matter what I go through, whether it be good or bad, I can always call on him. My faith is strong enough in him that when I pray I know that in some way it will be answered. The outcome may not be the way I would like for the prayer to be answered, but I know that it been answered in the way God knows best. He is also the only person that I can freely talk to. I know that when I do talk to Him, He will always listen and will not judge me. When I do something wrong, He is there with His arms stretched open wide, ready to forgive me and take me under His wing again. Unlike Wang's most prized possesion, God is not tangible for me to physically have with me at all times. However, from constantly learning more about Him and praying in various ways, I am drawn closer to Him. My God is my Rock and my Refuge and my life would have no meaning without Him.
