Blog Assignment #1

"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more seperate one life from another than you can seperate a breeze from the wind." This quote tells you that nothing in our life is a mistake. God puts people or things in your life to either teach you a lesson or have an impact on them, or vice versa. He has our lives planned out for us. All of our actions affect the people around us, even if it's a small thing such as picking up a nail out of the road. If you hadn't picked it up, I garuntee you that there would be one angry person calling for roadside asisstance. Sometimes, the worst things can happen to the best people, simply because of one person's choice or descision. I like to think that we are a lot like dominoes. One movement from any of us, and we all spiral in a different direction.
In conclusion, we aren't perfect, we make rash descisions, and we make mistakes everyday. If we knew the outcome of our actions, I think we would all be more careful, but we don't. The only person who can see the next chapter in our life is God alone. After all, we are his children. The best we can do is pray that we do the right things, take it day by day, and think before we act, because as the quote says, we are all connected and everything we do effects someone or something out there. I guess we'll see when we meet our five people in heaven.

Assignment #1

     The quote, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.", says a lot in just three sentences. The first part, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected.", is saying everything is meant to happen and it's for a reason. At the moment, the situation may seem like nothing will get better but every positive develops from a negative. One simple action may not seem like it would affect anyone. I promise you, if you smile at a complete stranger, you could entirely change their mood and make their day better. A simple decision can change how you live your life. Recently, I went into the neighborhood Eastover with a group called Mighty Moms. They bring necessary items such as clothing and food to families who can't afford them. I'm sure I changed a lot of lives that day. The second part, "That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." is stating that all lives are intertwined with each other. It's like the domino effect. The domino effect can be a decision that you make earlier in the day and it affects everyone you come in contact with and everyone they come in contact with. Every life is connected to each other in some shape or form. Something I could of said to someone the other day day can have a big effect on their life. This is what the prompt means to me.

This quote means that all mistakes were meant to be made. That nobody is perfect. Therefore, every event effects your next decision. When you meet someone in your life time, you impact them. Whether it be greatly or in the smallest way. This is similar to a paper towel roll. Most of the time when you tear a paper towel off the roll, it tears on the dotted line, other times, the paper towel tears unevenly onto the next piece of paper towel. There saying the action of you not being careful, you affected the next paper towel. Everyone is like the paper towel roll. Every single paper towel is connected, just like we are. When the paper towel roll runs out there is always another one waiting to replace the empty one. We are a vessel for God. We are useless without him. Everything we do, we do through him. He shapes us to be the people we are today. We are the messengers of God. We spread his word for everyone to hear.

Assignment #1

     In The Five People You Meet In Heaven, the Blue Man teaches Eddie his first lesson:  "That there are no random acts.  That we are all connected.  That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."  This makes me think of Newton's Law "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."  Not that it has to be an opposite reaction, just a reaction in response to another person's action.  I do believe in random acts.  I believe in random acts such as dropping your spare change into a donation box at a local store for the simple reason that before you headed to the store you had not planned on donating the money to charity, thus making it a random act.

     The thought that we are all connected does not make as much sense to me as people simply interacting with one another.  If we were all connected, then the action of one person could affect a mass of people.  Just the fact that one person does something that affects another does not mean we are all connected to this one action.  It just means that one person's action affected another person's reaction.  So in my opinion, we are not all connected.

This quote means to me that the actions we do, affects someone else. For example, holding a door open for someone could make their day or smiling at someone could keep them from taking their life. Just the smallest things in life affects someone else for a day, or maybe their entire lifetime. God puts those random moments in our lives to show us the precious things; so that we'll learn from it. We learn from those little things so we don't mess up, or make that same decision again. I could be a positive outcome or a negative. Those random acts are all apart of God's great plan for us. Whether we choose to learn from it, that's our decision. We take from it and let it impact our lives forever.

What this means to me is that we are all part of God's plan. Even the smallest action can make a difference in someones life.Our actions affect all things. For example, on September 11^th, how many people are alive today who worked at the Twin Towers because they were a few minutes late for work for some reason? Something as small as spilling coffee on your shirt could delay you from being at a place at the wrong or right time. What we don't realize is that no action is random. Everything you do has an outcome. Even though the situation might not make since to you at the time, later in life you might come to understand why the thing that happened to you came to be.This quote also means that we are all connected as family. Even though we may not speak the same language or look the same, we all are intertwined because we have the same creator. God has a reason for everything. He has a master plan and this quote explains just a small part of it.

That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."  This means everything you say or do has consequences whether it may be saying "hello" or robbing a bank you are effecting someone or something.We must all become more aware of our actions so that we can ensure that we do not effect others or ourselves negatively.For example, in the story The Five People You Meet in Heaven as a small child Eddie was unaware of the consequences of running into the street without warning; which caused "The Blue Man" to lose his own life.We are all connected. It doesn't matter how hard you try, you will always be helping or hurting someone.

    There are seven billion people in the world. As difficult as it may be to comprehend, your individual actions affect each and everyone of them. Whether you believe in God or not, you are apart of a bigger plan. Think of life as one big wave,one wave causes another. It never stops. It is important as an individual person and as as a society to become more aware of each other.

    "That there are no random acts.That we are all connected.That you can no more separate one life from another than can your separate a breeze from the wind",means to me that nothing happens for no reason,that we all are hemmed together not by just ancestors,but by our will and our mistakes.At times we often come to think that we can judge each other because of our actions,when in actuality we have all do the same things,and some may do them again.People are uniquely created,and crafted by God,but are everyone equal.All having the same weakness at one point in our life.This is how we all connect.Experiencing and feeling what your neighbor has felt will connect you.Not one human being should lift themselves up as "better" or "more qualified" or "prettier" because we are all connected.Applying these facts in life are easier said than done,but this statement really causes a heart to change and blinders to be uncovered.Before judging someone remember that you most likely will make the same mistake tomorrow.No one is better.This statement goes to say that we are all equal,and that none of us are perfect .But perfectly connected in all of our imperfections.We our all effect each other's lives.It may be a stranger you've never met,but if they've noticed you you have impacted them,believe it or not.All of us are connected to each other by our actions,the people we see and meet everyday,and simply by our imperfections.It is each person's job as an individual to feel responsible for encouraging each other,because the impact and connection we have on one another go unnoticed too often.We are all connnected.We are all imperfect.We are all impacted by each other,whether positively or negatively,we do.

That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.” This quote can mean many things to different people but this is what it means to me. It means that everything we do has reason to it, even if it’s the smallest thing possible. God has a strange way of connecting our lives together, it may even seem random at times, but it isn’t. God will use people, sometimes strangers, to affect your life in some positive way. He will also use you to affect others in some positive way. Either way this is how we are all connected.

I think most of the time we don’t even notice how big of a part in we play in each other’s life. The smallest action or choice possible can affect anyone in huge ways. We all like to think that our own choices only affect us, but they can affect so many people. Even a choice you did today can affect someone who you never even met. No matter how much we want to be separate from each other’s life it just won`t happen. The fact of the matter is that we are all connected to something bigger than ourselves.

To me, this means that when certain things happen in life its not just because God wants to throw it at you to make you struggle, but because He wants you to be better and stronger. When we meet someone it's because we are meant to be in their lives for some reason. "That there are no random acts." I think this means that everything happens for a reason. We do not always know why things happen the way they do, but it always ends in something good. Just like the saying, "when one door closes another one opens." Sometimes you cannot understand why things are happening in a certain way or at a certain time, but in retrospect it becomes clearer. "That we are all connected." It means by knowing a person you learn from each other and we can encourage and help each other grow stronger. "That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." Once you meet someone you are always a part of that person's life in some form or another. It may only be in memory or actuality. It's like you have some type of history with that person. We do not always know the reason or purpose we enter each others lives, therefore we should always be considerate of others. Our actions, no matter how big or small, good or bad, affect others as well as ourselves.

This quote is a quote that to me is one of the best quotes to explain the concept of life. This quote explains how one little thing can change the life of another. An example of this is when Eddie and his friends, when younger, threw a ball in the street and Eddie ran after it causing the Blue Man to swerve around him, later causing a rush of adrenaline to his weak heart, killing him. Your life might have the most pronounced effect on another's and you may never know. We always think of the people that are around us daily to be the people that have the biggest effect on our lives but a stranger could be the person that changes your life forever. No one can truly understand the course of events in their life but we can understand how much of an impact we make on others lives. All of our lives are connected and we have no power to change that, all we can do is hope that we have a positive effect on people. Some of us will connect to others with our acts of wrongdoing and change them in a positive way and some will be the opposite. Everyone wants to try to understand life and why things happen the way they do. People say that "its's just bad luck". How can it be bad luck when it has an affect? It happens for a reason, it's not random, it has a reason for happening.

This quote means that everything we do has an effect on someone's life. Something could seem so small and insignificant to us, but it could mean everything to another person. No matter how hard we try to separate ourselves from other people, it will never work. Sometimes it may seem as if we are alone. However, we are never truly alone. There will always be at least one person in our lives who truly cares about us. It is then this one person that will always be affected by our actions. Little things mean more to people than we think. We really need to think about how what we do is going to affect someone else. Like the quote says, there are no random acts. Everything happens for a reason.

This quote, from The Five People You Meet in Heaven, to me, means that everything we think of as random, is actually part of God's incredibly intricate plan. Our actions are much like throwing a pebble into a pond. Even after the initial splash of the pebble, the ripples that were caused keep going. They become smaller, and eventually fade, but not before they have an effect on the pond. The bigger the pebble, the more ripples it causes, but we forget that even a very small pebble will make some ripples, too. Every ripple will affect the next, just like our actions. There is no way to stop lives from being interconnected, because that's how God meant it to be. A smile can make another person's day a little better, and a frown can make it a little worse. There will always be times in our lives where we question our importance, but if we could only see how many people's lives we've helped, directly or indirectly, I honestly believe that question would be close to nonexistent. That is what the quote, and for that matter, the book, is all about. We all have the power to impact someone else, and at some point, we will. The question is, have you made a positive or negative impact?

         "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."  This quote, in my opinion, means that everyone is related to each other. It is impossible to separate a breeze from the wind, and in the same way it is impossible to separate our own lives from the lives of others. Whether we look alike, or are different colors because of God's design we are all intertwined.  Even though we may be on different sides of the globe, we still are interconnected.  It is not by chance or mistake that we cannot separate our lives between each other. I strongly believe everything happens for a reason.  I think a war is caused by disagreement in culture or religion.  It is a shame that, you are not only harming your brother's land, but relationship also. You can't possibly separate your life from an other life. It is all on purpose that it is this way, not simply a random act. Starting with Adam and Eve, God began his plan of interconnected life on Earth and no one can destroy His plan.

The prompt “That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from wind’ Means a lot to me. I agree with this 100%. Everyone’s life intertwines. The smallest act like dropping your pencil could effect another’s life. Everything happens for a reason and that reason could be anything but most people will never understand that reason. For example, When Eddie ran across the road to get his ball it caused the blue man to crash and die. Eddie never understood that reason until he met the blue man. The blue man died so Eddie could live. The smallest action could affect someone else’s life in the biggest way possible, it could take that person’s life.  People in life need to learn to make the right decisions so you wont be the reason someone else’s life changes dramatically. Everyone’s life connect in some way, shape, or form. You can’t separated them no more that you can separate a breeze from the wind, which are synonyms, the same things. People should really think about this prompt before they act in life. You never know what will happen next.
