In the story The Good Earth Wang Lung, the main character,
believes his constant in life is his land. Throughout his journey through life
he shows that he has a connection with the land. When he and his family go
through troubles he has to leave the land, but when he returns his fortune
changes and the land helps him get back on his feet. This is what is called a
constant in someone’s life. A constant, by definition, is someone or something
that remains faithful
to you.
I have three constants in my life and the first would
be God. As said in the bible, God will never leave us and be there for us
anytime, anywhere. This is why he is my number one constant in life because no
matter what, I know God will be there for me.
My second constant in life would be my
parents. Yes, they are not as perfect as God but they are the best parents in
the whole world no matter how crazy they can be. When I need help with
something or just need to talk, my mom is there for me. When I need a good
laugh or need advice, my dad is there for me. I know that they will always be
there for me no matter the case.
My third and last constant in my life would be, of course, my friends. I'm pretty sure if I did not get to see them at school every day my days would be very dull. If I’m in a bad mood it seems I am in the exact opposite mood after talking to them. I can talk to them about anything and they would understand.
I honestly wouldn’t be able to go through life without God, my parents, and my friends. In fact, I believe constants are what get us through life. We cannot live without constants!
