The Definition of Love

To define something, is to make it clear and make it's significance known. Love cannot be completely defined. It is not clear to very many people and most can't comprehend it's meaning. For every person, love is different, it may be simple for some yet complicated for others. In some cases, love can bring healing to the heart, or it can bring pain and hurting. The first word that comes to my mind when I think about love, is "unconditional". When you truly love someone or something, you love them unconditionally. This means that, through absolutely everything, you always love them. There is not one thing that could alter your love for them in any way. When you get married you vow to love your spouse: You comfort, honor and keep them, in sickness and in health, for rich or for poor, for better or for worse, in sadness and in joy, to have and to hold as long as you shall live. However, this is not the only kind of love. There is brotherly or sisterly love, the love of friends and friendships, and passionate love for something you do, such as a job or sport. Love has the power to conquer all.

  1. I feel that you can not define love either. When you said that to some love is simple and to others it is complicated that is so very true. Good job.
