What Makes Someone a Hero?

When people hear the word hero, images of over-muscular men with square chins and tight suits come to mind. To me, a hero is someone who does something courageous in other's life that means a whole lot to them. A hero can be a trained surgeon in the emergency room saving someone's life, to someone who goes out of their way to be nice to you. In my life, I have experienced the works of several heros. One of them would be my best friend. She has been here to support me through everything and she always knows what to say to me in every situation. Another hero of mine would be my older teammates that encourage me, give me advice, and inspire me to work hard. Everyday I meet a new hero by someone simply lending me a pencil in class when no one else will, to someone who compliments me. Heros do not always have to be life changers, but just life motivators or inspirators. I know I would not be the same person I am today if I did not receive those gestures from my heros. A hero is someone who helps or encourages someone without realizing it. Heros make the world a better place.

  2. This is true. Sometimes heros can be found in right in front of your nose. It is the little everyday heros that sometimes are the greatest heros of all.
