The Little Things That Make A Hero.
Some people define a hero literally, as a superhero, someone who wears tights and protects the world from evildoers. Other people use the word to describe a police officer or a fireman since they risk their lives everyday to save others. In my opinion though, a person doesn't have to put their life at risk to be considered a hero. I think that a hero is simply a person who isn't afraid to break away from the crowd and do what they think is right. Even if what that person does is something little, like defending a person who is being picked on, in my eyes they would be considered a hero just for that. For example, my one hero is my aunt Dana. She is a strong independent woman who lives the life that she thinks is right and isn't at all affected by what others think of that. She has taken all of the hardships life has thrown at her and gone with it. This woman is the type of person who can provide for her own children and at the same take in another child and treat them as if they were her own. To me, this is what I would consider a heroic act, just doing what you know is right.

That's really a great way to put it, heroes don't really have to risk anything to do what is right.
