Change
- John F. Kennedy
This quote is meaningful to me because it says that change is inevitable no matter what anyone does. Lots of people are reluctant to any form of change. Change is happening all around us. People should get use to it. Most innovations are beneficial to us. For instance, without the internet I wouldn’t have to do this blog and my parents wouldn’t be able to look at my grades all the time on powerschool. I’m not exactly crazy about these changes but they’re probably beneficial to me in the long run. If we only focus on what has worked in the past we will never reek the benefits of change. We never no what kind of useful technologies or ideas are out there. Plenty of Americans, especially in Louisiana, are viciously opposed to healthcare reform. They’re calling it a government takeover when all it does is cap premiums and offer a more affordable option for people with lower incomes. There is nothing wrong with that. I think more people should read this quote and start looking at the future.
Past, Present, and Future
This quote said by Buddha stood out to me more than all of the other quotes that I found. It is exceedingly relevant to how my life has played out so far. I’m sure many people know about a portion of the major tragedies that have occurred throughout my past, but some people, even my friends, don’t know the extent that they had on me. The main struggle that I experienced was when my dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. This huge impact not only affected me, but my family and friends as well. I have spent countless hours thinking about my future and what God has in store for my family and me. I fear that my life has been passing me by while I was planning out my future. I regret to say that I have been in denial for a long time about what might happen. I understand that there is a chance of my dad passing away in the near future, but I had a hard time facing the fact that it was real. I’ve learned to live a day at a time and deal with things as they come. Sometimes it’s better to plan ahead. If you are constantly planning ahead though, you will miss out on what is important in the present moment.
Quote!

Times With Family
This quote has always meant a great deal to me. What Thomas Jefferson meant by it was that some of the happiest times of his life have been the times he has spent with his family. Like Thomas Jefferson I come from a large family. Nothing makes me happier than when we are all together. In the quote he is saying that although he has had many good times, none can compare to those with his family. I agree with him. Looking back at my life, I’ve had many good times and many fond memories. However my greatest memories are those in which I share with my family. It seems that no matter the situation, good or bad, I’m happiest and most myself when I’m with them. Even in the worst times, I can still find happiness when we’re together. Nothing can lift my spirits like the movie nights, times together, or just laughing with them can. Although I have amazing friends and have made great memories with them, there’s just something special about the times I’ve gotten to share with my family. I hope someday everyone can cherish these times like I have.
Who Will YOU Serve?
This is a serious quote to me as well as to anyone who is willing to receive its message. The quote says to choose who you will serve. This is pertaining to either the son of God, Jesus Christ, or the devil. In this world and on this earth in everything that you say or do, you are serving either one or the other. You cannot serve God and still act as if there is no law. “No man can serve two masters: for he will hate one and love the other or shall hold to one and despise the other . . .” You can’t do what you know is wrong just to please others, as well. This is yet another quote to help you to understand what I am saying. In the first quote Joshua is saying to his people to choose today (right now) who they will serve, but his family as well as himself will choose to serve the Lord. He is letting them know that he will not give in to any temptations that may be presented to him. If you, yourself choose to, go on ahead and do it, for it is your choice. But don’t come and try and tempt me with it. Just for the knowledge of the fact that God will forgive you, doesn’t justify wrong doing. People will often try and use groups of people to try justify things you know are wrong. Even if everybody is doing it, you have to make the choice for yourself to do the right thing. With that being said, “. . . choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” You have heard what this quote means to me. My mind is obviously made up, but is yours? Make your choice today, get on your knees and pray.
Living in the Moment.
-Jim Carrey
This is a quote from my favorite actor Jim Carrey. To me, it says, you don’t know what is going to happen in the future, so don’t worry about it that much. And don’t look to the back to the bad things that happened in the past. Just worry about what’s going on now. It means what it says, live in the moment. And of you are going to look into the past, only look at the good things that have happened to it. If you’re looking into what’s going to happen in the future, think about what you’re going to do as a career, education, or something fun. Don’t worry about what happened, what is going to happen. Worry about what’s going on right now and enjoy your life. It means just take your time and enjoy your life right now. But, don’t forget the good times that you have had. Just have a good time, enjoy the laughs.
A Powerful Weapon
Kevin James as Paul Blart
This quote is very inspiring to me. It makes me feel as if my mind is the most powerful thing of all. I believe that your mind is the most powerful thing. Your mind becomes more impowered with everything you learn. The knowledge you receive is what fuels your mind and keeps you moving. A weapon uses ammo but your mind uses knowledge. All the knowledge your mind stores is used all the time, whether it be to your aid, advantage, or disadvantage. Weapons need to be carried in a holster, but the mind is always free. Your mind should never be put away, stored away, or holstered. It should be open to learn as much as it can, to hold and store everything you learn, and to be ready for use in a moments notice. Just like a weapon the knowledge your mind stores can be shot out. This quote has inspired me to always try my best and to always keep my mind open when knowledge comes knocking. Always remember knowledge is power in a rare but useful form.
Life
This quote means a lot to me because it means something to me. When Clapton says that each day could be your last, he also means live each day like it is. Don't just live every day like everyone else, add your own little bit of spice in your life. I like to do just that, I don't like to just stay back and be a part of the crowd. Clapton was very creative so he said this quote a lot, to show that he wants other people to be outgoing and creative like him. He's not just a part of the crowd, and he lives life to the fullest. I like to follow this philosophy, I try to make the most out of life and I like to be creative with it. This quote means more to me than just words, its a way of life. If you live your life like you will live forever, your life will be dull with nothing in it. But if you live with creativity and be outgoing, then you will have a life filled with happiness. This quote inspires me to do better in my life. This is my favorite quote.
"The Promise"
I promise you one thing. A lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season.
You will never see a team play harder than we will play the rest of the season.
God bless." - Tim Tebow, September 27, 2008
This quote is important to me and stuck with me whenever I heard it. After the Gator's loss to Ole' Miss, Tim Tebow, who is my favorite player and role model, apologized for the loss. I found this quote quite inspiring that how humble he was to come out to the press and apologize to everyone for the end to a perfect season. But what touches me most about this quote is that he did it. He pushed them all the way to the National Championship and won! I am not only inspired by Tim Tebow, but by this quote also. He is a very humble and emotional guy. This quote is becoming famous and is now all over the media. It inspires me so much I printed it out and put it on my wall in a frame! At the University of Florida, they have it on a plaque. Tim Tebow is a legend, and now this quote is becoming legendary. This is what this humble, inspiring, and emotional quote means to me.
This is not a famous quote, but it was said by a famous person. The point of this is for an individual to make a decision. Which ever decision they make can either take them down, or bring them up in life. No matter which choice they make, it is totally up to them whether they go up or down. They have to learn to take control of their own life. It is up to them to make their own decisions. No one is going to make them for them.

Laughter
The very first time I saw this quote I was in my science class. When I read it and understood it, it spoke to me. Laughing is something you should have in your life constantly, no matter what. Trying to ignore laugter won't work because laughing is one of the very few things that revolve around this world. Many people laugh with their family, friends, and even strangers. Meaning that if a person doesn't have the time to laugh at least once a day, he or she is taking life too seriously. Saying, that the person needs to relax and see the humorous side of the world. But, if you ignore those little things that make you laugh like crazy, it can cause sadness or even loneliness. Those qualities won't let you laugh, which makes your day wasted. Your day will be a waste of time, because there is no happiness to it. So, if you are one of those unwilling people that don't laugh, cheer up and make the day worth it! Go have an adventure laughing at the great humorous things in life that no human being can resist.
Guns don't cause crime
This quote is for all you people that don't like the second amendment. It is also for those that think that guns cause crime. I saw this quote on the a bumper sticker one day while I was heading home. The sticker is saying "Do flies cause garbage?" No, they don't. This means guns don't cause crime, people do. If you take away guns to stop crime, it just won't work. If someone wants to harm somebodyelse bad enough, they will use whatever they have. Just in case your wandering how to stop crime, it is imposible. There will always be those people that will break the rules because they want to. There is only one way to stop crime. In other words, if you want to stop crime, take away all the people.
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us."
-Helen Keller
Helen Keller was a very inspiring woman. She was blind and deaf, yet still made a big difference in the world. She wrote this quote to tell the world life moves on. A door of happiness is not a literal door, but instead a mental thing. People often think when one good thing ends their happiness is gone. Most people do not get back in the swing of life when life knocks them down. Instead of looking for the good in their lives they stay hung up on meaningless set backs. Helen Keller wanted people to see the good in their lives. She knew no one should give up. She accomplished many great things. Helen started a school for the deaf and blind. She learned to speak and teach even though the odds were against her. She realized even though she was disabled, life had to move on. All in all, Helen just wanted to people to get back up when life knocks them down. Don't dwell on the past. Focus all your energy on living for the moment. Always try to see the good in life.
