A Hero
To me, a hero is someone who has qualities that others admire. This person is a good role model for others. A hero doesn't have to save an old lady from a burning building or rescue a cat from a tall tree. A hero should be intelligent, strong, and bold. People should go to a hero for advice and comfort. A hero isn't perfect and they may fail sometimes. The only thing that matters is how they deal with that failure. A hero should pick themselves up and keep going. My hero would have to be my sister, Kayla. When I grow up, I want to be like her. She is my definition of a hero. She may not save the day, but she's always there for me no matter what.

I agree with your post. No one needs to be recognized on like National news or anything like that as long as they care for others and can lead their own lives without peer pressure,drugs and violence. Like you said though sometimes like you said heros do fail, I knew a man who was a drug addict and got clean, married and now have a little family. In my eyes he is a real hero, I do not know anyone else who has gotten off what he was addicted to. He is a true example of someone who picked up their life. He's a real example of a hero.
