What Is Love?
“Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, trusts all things, hopes all things, endures all things” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. In my opinion this describes perfectly what love is. Love is a strong word. When you love someone you are willing to do anything for that person. Love is caring about someone more than you care about yourself. It isn’t something that’s jealous or selfish. In fact it’s the complete opposite. According to its definition love is a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend. Whether the love is between family, friends, or even couples, it’s a special connection and without it we’d all be lost. Loving someone doesn’t mean you just love the good things about that person, its loving everything about them, including their flaws. Love can be shown in many ways such as doing nice things for others or maybe even by sacrificing something for another. Love can even be shown through a simple smile or kind word. Sometimes it’s the small things that show the most love.

I was going to use that bible verse, great minds think alike Rachel! But, I couldn't have said it better myself.
ReplyDeleteI agree Rachel, love can be shown in many ways. However, the word "love" is really thrown around a lot these days. People should mean it when they say it, and the verse you used is a perfect explination of love.
