What Makes a Hero
When people think of the word hero, they usually think of someone with super powers. They think of fictional figures like Spiderman and Superman. However, when I think of a hero, I picture different groups of people. I think of policemen who risk their lives trying to cut down crime. They protect us from burglars, murderers, and other criminals. I also think of firemen who put their lives on the line every day to protect other citizens. Of course, America's true heroes are its soldiers who are over seas fighting for their country. Not all heroes however have to put their lives at stake to be a hero. I consider the New Orleans Saints to be heroes for the citizens of New Orleans. After Katrina, all Louisiana saw was defeat, but the Saints gave the city new life. heroes are all around us everyday. They may not have super powers, or wear fancy outfits, but they are heroes just the same.

Zachary, I think your opinion on what a hero is, is really good. A hero is someone who gives or risks their lives for people. We have the same outlook on what a hero is. Nice work!
