What makes a hero? To me, a hero is someone who is brave, clever, and strong. When I think of a hero, the first thing that comes to my mind is Superman. He has all the characteristics of a typical superhero, but when I dig a little deeper, I realize that anyone can be a hero. A hero can be an everyday person and does not have to have any special powers.
My hero is my mom. She is always there for me no matter what. She is one of the bravest people that I know because she puts up with my brother and me, while teaching high school, which takes a pretty brave soul to do. She is also very clever, and she always knows the right thing to say. However, my mom reminds me most of a hero when I think about how strong she is. When my dad is away for work, as he so often is, she stays strong for us. She also has a strong faith in God, which is why I look up to her. My mom is my hero.
