The Hidden Heroes
When you ask the average seven-year-old what a hero is, they will most likely say their favorite comic book hero. They will say Spiderman, Superman, or Batman. But what about Robin? The unsung heroes are the ones behind the scenes, the ones you can not see or do not know about. A hero is someone who goes out of their way to do something for somebody. They do not do it because they have to, they do it because they want to. Some of the most forgotten heroes are donors. People who donate their money, their blood or organs, or even their time. There are people in the hospital who would not still be here if it wasn't for a random person giving blood. Those are the people who need to be appreciated. They do not look any different from anybody else. They do not stand out in a crowd. They do not have super strength, invisibility, and they can not fly. But, they have the most important super power: a good heart.

You are exactly right!! I cannot say it better than you did and I don't feel like restating it so...I'm just going to ramble! The everyday heroes are the looked-over type of heroes. They don't get holidays and statues named after them. But when you consider the things that they've done, maybe they should get something like that. People never stop and think, "If I get hit by a bus today and need blood or a kidney, maybe that guy over there will be the one that will save my life."
ReplyDeleteYou never know. You just don't...
Do you need blood or a kidney? Because I'm sure someone else does!!
