Who is Your Hero?
When the term "hero" is used we often tend to refer to it as Spider man or Superman being heroes. The people that are featured in big screen movies or comic books, the well known people. The word "hero" is defined as a man who is admired for brave deeds and noble qualities. Sure Spider man or Superman did some brave deeds by taking over villains that were a threat to mankind. But who I think is a real true hero is the people out on the front lines risking their lives for us, our soldiers. These brave men and women do the unthinkable everyday. They put their lives in harms way just so we can put our heads down and sleep at night safely. They leave their families and friends at home while they deploy halfway around the world. They can go years without seeing their family and friends, when most of us see our family and friends everyday. They don't get to sit down and have a home cooked meal every night. They don't get to sit on the couch and watch TV. They have to be ready to do whatever is needed when ever it is needed. We take so much of our freedom for granted, when they are the ones making sure we are able to do all of the things we do. Sure, we may not make movies about them or know what their names are but it is these not so well known guys that are the real heroes.

Great post. I don't think that we can ever begin to comprehend how much our soldiers do for us. They are definitely true heroes.
ReplyDeleteNice post, I agree completley. Soldiers let us go on with our lifes by keeping us out of harms way and laying their lifes on the line so we can enjoy living freely.
ReplyDeleteAmazing post. You couldn't have said it any better how our soldiers should be every persons hero.
