Heroes, Big and Small

I believe that everyone has their own definition of a hero. Just because one certain person may be your hero, doesn't mean that everyone views that person as a hero. We all have our own heroes. For someone that was involved in 9/11, a hero to them may be that fireman that helped them down the stairs and brought them to safety. I think that we all can agree that that person is a hero. Though they may not particularly be our hero, they are a hero nonetheless. As I said though, just because one person views someone as a hero, doesn't mean everyone does. For example, many people support President Barack Obama, while at the same time, many people want to vote him out of office. Everyone has different views and opinions. A hero can even be someone simple, such as a teacher. If you have trouble in a certain subject, and that teacher spends extra time with you to make sure you understand it, then they may be your hero. This proves that anyone can be a hero, not just firefighters, or soldiers, or police officers. You don't have to save someone from a burning building to be a hero. Anyone can be a hero. It does not matter if what you do is big, or small. You made a difference in someone's everyday life, and though you may not view yourself as one, they see you as a hero.
