Heroes Amoung Us

People have many different interpretations of the word hero. For some, it means a figure in mythology. For another number of people it means someone who shows a special achievement in an area. To me, anyone can be a hero with the characteristics of brave, strong, and admirable. If you set your heart to something and believe in it, and you can stand up to defend it allowing people to understand your view and help them change their mind, then you are a hero. This covers everything from religious views to a wrong grade to a bad sports call to fighting cancer.People out there are already doing this every day. Many people have become famous due to them standing up for their community. Some of these people include Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, and Dr. Martin Luther King. There are people who do this in your own community. It may even be you.
