A True Hero

The definition of heroes is a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model. In my opinion, the definition of heroes is someone who stands up for what he believes in despite of what others might think about him. To me, this is a very difficult quality to possess. Most people are influenced by society's opinion of how to look, act, or feel about certain things. When a person doesn't care about what other people's thoughts toward him are, that is being a true hero to one’s self. Heroes should strive to be true to themselves in all they do, although many people find this hard to do. No matter how big or small, all people have flaws in themselves. Even people such as policemen or firemen cannot be perfect. This is why I think that there are so few true heroes. If no one had flaws then everyone would be a hero, and there would be nobody to save. The few people who do have the qualities of a true hero should be advocates to others, so other people can be heroes too. These are the qualities of a true hero.
