My True Hero

A true hero, in my eyes, is someone who is courageous, compassionate, on task, and devoted. The men and women that work in an emergency room are one of the multiples that attain this description. They must be courageous to face any adversity ahead of them, and execute it to their best ability. The patients that have to go to the emergency room depend on them to help them and sometimes save their life. Being on task is something I believe they have because they can never be sure when the next patient may arrive, and how crucial their situation or sickness may be. They are so devoted to their jobs, for they are the ones that are also at work all night in case that there is a life or death situation in the early morning or late night. All of this they do for us, for hope that we are able to return home safe and well again. I do not think that these people get acknowledged enough for what they do, and achieve. Even though sometimes they do not succeed does not always mean that it was intentional or even that it was their fault. Sometimes it might be that the person with the emergency was not able to realize how important it was that they go to the hospital right away to receive care and attention. However, I do not think that this makes them any less of a hero, for they still obtain those main characteristics. The men and women who work in an emergency room are a true hero from my point of view.
