My Selfless Hero

A hero to me is someone who puts everyone else before themselves. Devoted day and night, they will always be there for anyone in need. Love and compassion run through their veins. A hero will not stop until they know what they needed to do is done. From big to small, their actions impact everyone.  They humbly inspire others to be the best they can be. My grandfather is my hero; he was the first person to graduate high school in his family. He then continued on with his education to eventually receive his Ph.D. in psychology.  My grandpa worked as a professor at LSU for 40 years, and was the founding dean of the honors college at LSU. When I was a child, I loved when he would take me out to get ice cream, or take me to LSU games. He always made sure I had a smile on my face. Never once has my grandfather let me down, he reminds me that anything is possible. That is what a true hero is to me, selfless.

  1. When I read your blog it made me smile about how your grandfather would take you to get ice cream and to the LSU games.
