Fame Isn't Everything

A hero is someone who is admired for their achievements and qualities.  I think a hero is someone that people look up to; someone people know will always be there. My admiration goes out to anyone in the armed forces for everything they do. It’s amazing to think that there are people who are willing to risk their lives to protect others. If that’s not loyalty, then I don’t know what is. They leave their homes, families, and friends not knowing if they will ever return. Their bravery pulls them through their weary and lonesome nights of being away. They do the best they can to protect and keep our country from harm. I admire people in the military for their exceptional bravery and strength they show throughout their deployment, and their entire lives. They don’t do it for the fame; they serve for the well-being of the people. I personally don’t think that people who serve our country get enough recognition for the tremendous jobs that they do. The people in the armed forces are true heroes in my book.
