Heroes Make Differences

Heroes Make Differences
"A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson.
This quote describes how i feel heroes should be defined as. Going with this quote, anyone anywhere can be a hero. You don't have to train for it, or practice it, all it takes is courage and a good heart. I could think of many historical heroes, heroes from stories, ancient heroes, but I have a great respect for the heroes we have today, like fire fighters, police officers, our military forces, ect. They fit the quote above quite well. They are all ordinary men and women who go out to perform jobs that they could lose their own lives doing, just for our protection. They have the courage to go risk their life for people they don't even know. Being a hero does not just have to be all about saving people's lives either. Being a hero could be doing something generous but life changing for someone you love. All the donations Bill Gates has made to charities has changed an unimaginable amount of lives, and I see him as a hero for that. Heroes are people to look up to in need of help. They are the people that make differences in our world.
