Heroes of the Court

A hero is someone who does stuff to help others. They also show courage and stop wrong during. I would consider my dad a hero, especially when he's working. He calls fouls when players are being rougher than the rules allow. He runs up and down the court waiting for the possible "crime". Then there are the bystanders or the fans in the crowd watching as the hero stops the misconduct. The players and the coaches are the friends and family of the perpetrator and victim. The victim is the player being fouled while shooting, dribbling, or passing. The perpetrator is the person fouling someone in the act of dribbling, passing, or shooting. The referees are the heros of the game, they keep order on the court at all times. If it was not for them everyone would break the rules and the game would be pure chaos. My dad is my hero on and off the court because he always tries to do the right thing, even when it is not "cool".

  1. I liked how you compared the heroes of real life to the type of hero your father is on the court, whre he referees basketball games. It was a whole new take on the idea of a hero. Whereas most people just decribed a basic hero, you were able to take it to the next level and bring in an analogy. It was very clever of you.
