What Makes a Hero?

As we go throughout life, we will always remember a time where someone says something about a hero. What we don't seem to look at is that we come across heroes everyday. In your eyes, a hero might be classified as someone with super human abilities such as super strength or the ability to fly. The way I see it, a hero is someone that is always there to help or someone that provides assistance to the community. Even though heroes like Superman, Spiderman and others have powers that separate them from human standards, people like firemen and police officers are considered heroes to me too. Heroes go through so much just to help others. A hero will put themselves last when it comes to a difficult task. I would definitely consider a fireman as a hero. A fireman will risk his life by going into a burning building just to bring out one person. That is a very heroic thing to do. My own personal hero would most likely be my older brother. My brother has always been there for me and helps me when I need it the most. My brother holds the potential of being a hero. All in all, heroes don't need super powers or maybe a cool costume, they just need to be there for others and help when its needed most.

  1. I completely agree with what you are saying. You are so right by saying a hero doesn't have to have superpowers, they just have to do good things for people. A firemen is a perfect example of a hero because of what they do to help people.
