Anyone Can be a Hero

I honestly think the definition of a hero is someone who puts others above themselves. It’s someone who would rather do the right thing or help someone in need than just sit back and watch. Most people imagine a hero being a powerful or a larger than life character, like we see in movies and books. People like firefighters, policemen, and doctors are even more commonly categorized as one. In reality, he or she can be the total opposite of what you’d expect. The ordinary people you see day to day could be a hero, even if you wouldn't guess it in a million years.  I believe one can come from anywhere and be anything. It doesn't matter what they look like, what kind of life they had, or if they’re rich or poor. They are all around us. You aren't defined by your appearance but by your actions. Every single person has the potential to be one.  Not everyone can be a great hero, but a great hero can be anyone.

  1. I totally agree! Heroes aren't classified as the men or women who come sweeping in like in the movies. It's the people who are willing to put other people's needs above their own.
