Heroes Come in Different Disguises

The definition of the word hero cannot be looked up in a dictionary like most other words. That is because everyone has their own view of what a hero is to them. My view of a hero is someone who is a hero in disguise everyday like a doctor, teacher, or a friendly person who is always willing to help out. A hero has many qualities that are apparent to me. A hero is courageous, caring, and strong. They will always stand for what is right, help even when they are not asked, and be a rock for others through tough times. I know many people who have been heroes in my life and they all share these qualities. My two sisters and mom are three huge heroes in my life. They are strong and have always been there for me through all the hard times in our lives. They have taught me to be kind to everyone because they could be angels in disguise. They are also very brave when challenges come up and they always face them with smiles on their faces.  I hope to follow their footsteps when I get older and one day become a hero to many people when I become a pediatrician to many young people.

  1. I agree. Heroes are always caring and honest. A hero could be anyone kind enough to stop and help a stranger.
