Just Your Average Heroes

Being a hero isn't about having extraordinary abilities. It's using your own power (such as intellect, kindness, honesty, compassion, et cetera) for the greater good of others. A hero will help you when you're in need, loyal to you, and be there for you. There are many heroes among us; more than you'd think. Think about people who've impacted history and even our daily lives. This can range from soldiers, parents, astronauts, to friends. Soldiers put their life on the line every day for the freedom of others. Many are praised on arrival of their return. Many never make it back... Parents shape the new generation. They raise you, feed you, shelter you, and care for you. The audacious astronauts, such as the late Neil Armstrong, went beyond thought of possibility and went to amazing lengths (literally) to create history. Even friends can be heroes. They're always there for you. Some can always cheer you up, even on the cloudiest days. Some will always make you smile and laugh. They lead us down the right path towards happiness and success. I have many heroes. Who are yours?
