A Bond
In the Five People You Meet in Heaven, the Blue Man states
“that there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more
separate one life form from another than you can separate a breeze from a
wind.” The first sentence,” that there are no more random acts,” means that
nothing just happens. Everything that happens is for a reason. This is also
means that none of the deaths were random, that they were all for a reason. The
second sentence,” that we are all connected” means that by some bond we are all
connected. In the book, this was put as how all the deaths of the five people
were connected to Eddie. The last sentence is “ that you can no more separate
one life form from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind.” In my
opinion, this means that if you look at two people they will be connected in
some way. The connection can go as far back as when you were younger. In the
book, Eddie was connected to the Blue Man by how he ran out into the street to
get his ball. When he went into the street, he caused the blue man to wreck his
car. Eddie didn’t know the blue man but
he was connected to him by how he caused his death. Eddie and the Blue Man’s
situation is a perfect example of the quote. Therefor, “that there are no
random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life
form from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind” means that life
is life. No matter what, everyone is connected to each other. The bond goes
thru everybody for a reason.
